Austin has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, but he did some light running during the early stages of Friday’s practice at Valley Ranch. Austin will also try to work out prior to Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
“Feeling better,” Austin said after practice.
If Austin is unavailable, rookie Terrance Williams will start. Williams is coming off season highs of seven catches and 71 receiving yards in Week 4 versus San Diego.
Like Austin, Durant (left groin) hasn’t practiced all week. But Durant is hopeful he can at least try to play despite the injury he suffered in the game at San Diego.
“I don’t know,” Durant said about playing Sunday. “You’re going to have to ask the coaches. Leave it up to them. It’s not up to me.”
Starting defensive end George Selvie (concussion) returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday and is listed as questionable. Wide receiver Dwayne Harris (hip), who was limited the past two days in practice, is questionable but is expected to play.
