Waters, who signed last week after missing the 2012 season, most likely will share snaps at right guard with Mackenzy Bernadeau. Waters won’t start but will be part of a rotation. The Cowboys had a similar rotation at right tackle in the last month of the 2012 season, between Doug Free and Jermey Parnell.
During a Friday-morning interview Jones said Waters has been impressive in the weight room since arriving at Valley Ranch.
“Obviously a very strong individual,” Jones said. “He’s one of those guys that is timeless and he steps right out there and has done some amazing things for a guy who hasn’t been on the field last year. And he didn’t have an offseason and training camp, and it’s pretty amazing he’s going to step in and, I think, really contribute in this game. I don’t think he will play the whole game, but he will start to get a few snaps.”
