Texas State Supreme Court Justice Wallace Jefferson has announced he will resign effective October 1, 2013. Wallace Jefferson does not have another job lined- up. The 50-year-old plans to spend more time with his family.
I am sure his wife and three sons will appreciate that. I am a little concerned now that we have a huge voter ID law to battle. Jefferson was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry in 2001as the first black appointed to Texas’ high court. In his interview with Texas Lawbook he stated that “he remains open to possibilities.”
