When we think of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) we normally think about writing them a check but this time the IRS wants to give you money. There is $917 million out there unclaimed for 2009. If you didn’t file your return then you may want to get a move on it. You need to file your 2009 income tax before April 15, 2013 or the refund due will expire. In Texas, according to the IRS 86,000 people are eligible, that comes out to about $578 per person still unclaimed.
