Ne-Yo Sued By Ex-Girlfriend For Defamation

Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo is headed back to court. His ex-girlfriend, who falsely claimed he fathered her child, is suing him for defamation. Jessica White (not the model) is suing him for speaking negatively about her in his episode of “Behind The Music.”

Jessica White stated in her lawsuit that when Ne-Yo spoke about her on “Behind the Music,” he characterized her as “an unchaste woman who deliberately tricked him into believing he was the father of her child so that she could fraudulently bilk him of ungodly amounts of money.”

Ne-Yo and Jessica were involved back in 2005 and when she gave birth to her son, she listed Ne-Yo as the father of the child. After taking a paternity test, it was proven Ne-Yo had no biological ties to the child. White claims she was unsure of who the father was and told Ne-Yo that information. She also says Ne-Yo went on “Behind the Music” and made it seem as if she deliberately tried to squeeze money out of him.

Because of Ne-Yo’s comments on the VH1 show, she has suffered in her professional life. She also alleges people have called her all types of ugly names like “c**t,” “B***h,” and “pathetic.” The name calling has caused her mental anguish and she is suing for unspecified damages.
