Never a dull moment with the Jackson family! The NY Daily News reports that Jermaine Jackson‘s petition to have his last name changed to “Jacksun” was granted by an L.A. judge on Friday.

Jermaine claims that the name change is purely for artistic reasons. His lawyer, Bret D. Lewis said:” If Prince and Diddy can do it, why can’t and shouldn’t Jermaine?”
Jermaine, 58, is currently on tour with his brothers Tito, Marlon, and Jackie.
This isn’t the first name change for Jermaine. Back in 1989, he unofficially adopted the name Mohammad Abdul Aziz after converting to Islam.
