The jig is up for former Miami Dolphins Hall of Famer Dan Marino (pictured), who finally admitted Wednesday that he fathered a love child more than seven years ago with a CBS production assistant. According to the New York Post, the very-married CBS NFL pregame commentator, who will be televised analyzing this year’s Super Bowl game, reportedly paid his young mistress millions to keep their baby hush-hush.
The 51-year-old Marino and his wife of 28 years have four sons and two adopted daughters. The gridiron great and his baby mama, Donna Savattere, who was 35-years-old when she gave birth to their daughter, Chloe, was allegedly paid to keep the affair under wraps as part of an arrangement that included her moving to Texas. The lid was blown sky high off the affair, when an unidentified source recently spilled the beans to the New York Post’s famed Page Six gossip column.
When news of the past affair hit the fan, Marino, who has not denied the dalliance, offered a statement to the New York Post:
“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”
