Dallas City Manager, Mary Suhm announced on April 20,2012 that the City of Dallas has a new fire chief. Louis W. Bright III is the new Dallas Fire-Rescue Chief. Bright III had been serving as interim Chief since former Chief Eddie Burns retired abruptly in August 2011. The new chief is a Dallas native has been with the department for 30-years.
