Berry Gordy the founder of Motown Records released at statement about his dear friend Dick Clark who passed away Thursday after suffering a massive heart attack. The two were friend for more than 50 years. Gordy said, “Dick was always there for me.” Gordy stated that even before there was a Motown he was there for him. “He helped bring Motown into living rooms across America.” See the video for the first appearance of the J5 on American Bandstand.
