“We’ve lost contact with Zimmerman” – George Zimmerman’s FORMER Attorneys Hold Press Conference

(RNN) – Attorneys for George Zimmerman said Tuesday they have lost touch with him, and are withdrawing their counsel.

The last time they heard from him was Sunday.

Hal Uhrig, Zimmerman’s former attorney, said Zimmerman has contacted Fox News Sean Hannity, as well as prosecutors working on the case.

“We were quite astonished at that,” Uhrig said.

Zimmerman made news most recently with a website he launched designed to raise funds for his defense. Zimmerman has admitted to shooting and killing Trayvon Martin, 17, on the night of Feb. 26 in Sanford, FL.

The website titled The Real George Zimmerman is asking for donations to help with his legal defense fund, as the website says, for the “life altering event which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage.”

The background to the website is an American Flag with a link to donate to his defense fund, as well as the headers “The Facts,” “My Race,” “Album” and “Contact.”
